American Think Tank, Inc is a 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit, nonpartisan organization whose goal is to find solutions to social issues.
While other Think Tanks are set up by partisan, special interest groups that search for solutions that support their agenda, American Think Tank is set up to find solutions for every American by every American.
To help find solutions, we are developing a social media platform for the sharing of ideas in the pursuit of finding real world solutions to America's problems.
The basic design of the social media platform will allow registered users to pose a social problem and facilitate other registered users to offer solutions. Then both registered and non-registered (visiting) users can vote the solution up or down. By having many solutions to the same problem, the most popular and hopefully the best solution will rise to the top of the list for each problem.
The social media platform will be structured in a way that the problems will be categorized. The categories will be based on issue, such as economic, environmental, social justice, etc. They will also be based on location such as local, regional or national. Regions will have their own unique URL address to allow for more location focused problem solving. However, the website platform design will be the same for all locations.
The American Think Tank will have an organized group of nonpartisan, volunteer monitors that will review the problems and solutions for accuracy and decency. Both problem and solution providers will need to include reference material that can be links to articles, scientific research, case law, state statutes, the United States constitution or other supporting documents. These nonpartisan, volunteer monitors will ensure the cohesiveness of the problems and solutions being offered.
We at the American Think Tank believe that social media can be a platform for finding real solutions to America's many challenges.
